ASTON, Pa. - The Widener University women's volleyball team posted its first win of the season, as it swept Moravian, 25-20, 25-12, 25-18, on Friday night at Neumann University.
The Pride improved to 1-8 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MORAVIAN
- The Pride opened the match by registering 16 kills, which tied a season high for kills for a set.
- The Pride totaled over 40 kills for the third straight match after tallying 43 against the Greyhounds.
- Lilyanna Martucci led the Pride with 16 kills. Shannon Toomey added 11 kills in the win.
- Megan Barthol posted a double-double, dishing out 36 assists and making 18 digs to lead the Pride in both categories. Martucci also had a double-double, adding 13 digs.
- Rachel DiCarlo had a day on the defensive end as well, making 14 digs.

Widener goes back to Neumann on Saturday to face Gallaudet. Match is set for noon.
