Men’s Basketball Falls to #9 Stockton in Post-Thanksgiving Matchup

GALLOWAY, N.J. – Widener men's basketball put up a pair of 28 points but fell to #9 ranked Stockton in a 67-56 game.
 
Following the defeat, the Pride move to 3-2 in the regular season and prepare for their first MAC Commonwealth game against Alvernia on Wednesday, November 30th.
 
BY THE NUMBERS HOW IT HAPPENED IN GALLOWAY

The Ospreys jumped out to an early lead sinking 41 points to the Pride's 28. The team shot 13 of 33 in field goal attempts and went 1 of 7 from the three line. The Pride found themselves battling for the lead one time and tied twice. The first half concluded with the Pride down 13.
 
Coming out in the second half, the Blue and Gold put up another 28 points to the Osprey's 26, but it was not enough to get the job done. In the second half the men shot 10 of 24 from the floor and 3 of 12 from the three-point line. In game totals Widener found 32 points in the paint with the bench finding 14 of our 56. The Pride turned the Osprey's turnovers into seven points.

Widener returns to the Schwartz Center on Monday, November 28th as they host Rosemont in a non-conference game. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
