CHESTER, Pa. – Widener men's swimming team swam to its first wins on Saturday against Albright and Moravian.
With the wins, the women move to 2-0 and 1-0 in Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ALBRIGHT AND MORAVIAN
MEN
- The Pride take both relays and go 5-9 in individual events
- The men open with a two second lead in the 200-medley relay (Zach Anderson, Joshua Cunningham, Kyle Cantrell, Patrick Rauch) in 1:44.74.
- Jason Mongiovi picks up 22-points and a pair of wins in the 1000 free (10:41.55) and 100 back (58.63).
- Cantrell earned a win in the 50 free (22.58).
- Cunningham first in the 100 fly (56.41) and a second in the 100 breast (1:05.16) by less than a second from Albright's MacDonald.
- The Blue and Gold close the meet with a 1:34.12 win in the 200-freestyle relay (Cantrell, Sean Hourican, Rauch, Shane Douthit).
- The men outscore Albright 103-56 and Moravian 128-31.
