ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – The Widener University volleyball team falls to the Eastern University Eagles in five sets.
With a MAC Commonwealth loss, the Pride move to 10-12 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED IN FIVE SETS
- Eastern took a ten-point victory in set 1.
- The Pride answer back with a two-set win 26-24 and 25-23.
- Eastern pushes the match to a fifth set with a 25-18 win in the fourth.
- Widener battles hard in the final set but falls short 15-11.
- Abigail Herrin and Lilyanna Martucci led the offensive side. Herrin with 15 kills and Martucci with 9 kills throughout five sets.
- Setter Megan Barthol adds 37 assists to her name taking her to 665 on the season.
- On the defensive side, Rachel DiCarlo, Lilyanna Martucci, and Liz Barnes rack up digs with Dicarlo earning 17. Martucci with 16 and Barnes with 14.
