READING, Pa.- The Widener men's soccer team picked up another win against Albright in a MAC conference match Wednesday evening at Shirk Stadium.
This win extends Widener's win streak to seven and puts the Pride at 8-4-2 on the season and 4-0-1 in conference play.
HERE'S HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ALBRIGHT
- After a scoreless first half, the Pride scored two goals to get them on the board and walk away with a shutout victory against the Lions.. Sean Fatiga found the back of the net in the 45th minute from a pass from Max Hartke. Twenty minutes later, in the 69th minute, Michael Burckley's shot and scored the Pride's second goal off an assist from Hector Suriel.
-The Blue and Gold offense outshot Albright twenty shots to their four and took nine corner kicks in this match.
-Ryan Van Pelt did his job in goal, preventing any Albright shots from scoring. Van Pelt tallied two saves off of Albright's four shots.

Widener will be back in action on Saturday night when it travels to Frederick, Maryland to face Hood in a MAC Commonwealth game. Kickoff for that game is at 7 p.m.
