GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - The Widener women's volleyball team came away with a four-set victory against Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday night, topping the Griffins, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-17, on the road.
The Pride are now 10-11 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST GWYNEDD MERCY
	- After dropping the first set, the Pride won the second set by scoring four of the last five points of the game. Sophomore Abigail Herrin tallied three of her career-high 17 kills during that stretch.
 
	- In the third set, the Pride jumped out to a 15-10 lead and increased it to 22-16 before winning by five points.
 
	- In the final set, the Pride were clinging to a 15-13 lead before they rattled off five points in a row  to extend their lead to 20-13 and eventually run away with the victory.
 
	- Megan Barthol recorded her 11th double-double of the season, as she dished out a match-high 42 assists and had 11 digs.
 
	- Defensively, Emily Miller and Lilyanna Martucci made a great impact on the match. Milled led Widener with five blocks, while Martucci recorded 16 digs to pace the Pride.

Widener travels to face Eastern next Wednesday for a MAC Commonwealth match. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
