CHESTER, Pa. –
Madison Forte scored a goal in the second half to help the Widener women's soccer team forge a 1-1 tie with Marymount in its non-conference game Tuesday night at Elizabeth J. Hirschmann Field at Leslie C. Quick, Jr. Stadium.
The tie put the Pride at 5-4-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MARYMOUNT
- After Marymount scored a goal in the 37th minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime, the Pride managed to knot it up after Forte found the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
- Following Forte's score, rhe Pride kept attacking the Saints on the offensive end, as they took 12 more shots in the half. The Pride finished the night with 20 shots, 11 of which were on goal.
- Emily Schall led the Pride with three shots, all of which were on goal. Forte also took three shot attempts, two of which were on goal.
- The Blue and Gold used three goalies in the match in Tatina Carr, Ashton Houbary, and Nicole Rende. Carr led them with three saves, while Houbary and Rende each had a save for Widener in net.

Widener will host Stevenson in another MAC Commonwealth match on Saturday night to conclude Widener's Homecoming festivities. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
