GLENSIDE, Pa. –
Daniel Parker had a hand in winning two events while leading the Widener men's swimming team during its conference meet against Arcadia on Friday at Arcadia University. Unfortunately, the Pride dropped a 162-100 meet to the Knights.
A senior swimmer, Parker won the 200-yard butterfly and helped the 200 medley relay team earn a victory. The Millersville, Md. native won the 200 fly in a time of 2:00.23, which was good for the sixth-best time in the MAC this season. In addition, Parker placed second in the 500 free.
In the medley relay, Parker,
Jason Mongiovi,
Shane Douthit, and
Joshua Cunningham combined for a time of 1:39.29 in their victory.
Widener also received top-three finishes in the meet from Mongiovi (second in 100 breaststroke, second in 200 breast, and second in IM), Douthit (second in 200 free and second in 100 free), Cunningham (second in 50 free and third in 100 fly),
Patrick Rauch (second in 100 backstroke),
Patrick Rankin (second in 200 back and third in 100 back),
Isaiah Moreef (third in 200 free), and
Shane Hubbard (third in 1,000 free and third in 200 fly)

The Pride will host Ramapo next Saturday in their final dual meet regular season. The meet, which is Senior Day, is set for 1 p.m.
