IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Widener University field hockey team delivered its third clean sheet of the season with a 4-0 decision over Immaculata on Tuesday night. The win marks the Pride's fourth in a row as it moves to 4-1 in non-conference play.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Madi Radnoff continued her stellar senior campaign with her seventh goal of the season in the second period's opening minutes. Radnoff currently leads the MAC Commonwealth in almost every statistical category including goals, points (15), game-winning goals (3), shots (25), and shots on goal (17).
- Erin Callahan posted her third straight outing with a goal, delivering the match's first score with under two minutes remaining in the first period.
- Margaret Howe-Consiglio and Jess Alba each added their second goals of the year. Howe-Consiglio has recorded a goal or an assist in every match this fall.
- Widener out shot the Mighty Macs 25-2 in the match and gave up just one shot on goal. The Pride has dominated the attack this season, outshooting its opponents by a combined 93-18.
- The Blue and Gold has also outscored its opponents by an impressive 22-3 margin this season and has allowed just one goal in its last 257 minutes of play. Its 4.4 goals scored per game leads the conference and ranks 14th nationally.
