GLASSBORO, N.J. - The Widener University women's volleyball team posted wins over Morrisville State and Catholic University during a quad match over the weekend at Rowan.
The Pride rallied to beat Catholic in five sets, 22-25, 17-25, 25-22. 25-11, 15-9, on Friday night. On Saturday, the Blue and Gold began the day with a comeback win over Morrisville State in five sets, 25-19, 19-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-8, then fell to host Rowan in four sets.
The pair of wins put the Pride at 6-1 on the season — their best start to a season since 2008 when they went 7-1.
