HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Despite scoring 48 points in the second half and receiving a double-double from
Matt Daulerio, the Widener men's basketball team came up short of a comeback victory against Centenary, dropping an 84-82 contest to the Cyclones on Saturday afternoon at Centenary University.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CENTENARY
- Trailing, 46-34, at halftime, the Pride stormed back in the second half, cutting the Cyclones' lead to one three times (78-77, 80-79, and 83-82). Daulerio played a large part in the half, scoring 17 of his 26 points and pulling down five of his 11 rebounds in the frame.
- The Pride had a chance to tie the game with six seconds left after Pat Holden took a jump shot outside the paint and Kenny Lewis grabbed and offensive rebound, but they turned the ball over and Centenary ran out the clock.
- Daulerio's double-double was the third of his career and his second straight one after having a 19-point, 11-rebound effort against York on Wednesday.
- Stevan Matlack, Jared Peters and Lewis each scored in double figures in the defeat. Matlack scored 17 points, while Peter put in 12 and Lewis chipped in 10.
