CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener men's basketball team finished in third place in its 12th annual Widener Tip-Off for Autism Awareness after notching an 81-71 victory over Arcadia in Saturday's consolation game at Schwartz Athletic Center.
Kevin Schenk led the Pride with 15 points.
Pat Holden added 14 points to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team after finishing with 20 points in Friday's game against Neumann.
Steven Matlack chipped in 10 points for the Blue and Gold in the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ARCADIA
- The Pride led from start to finish after jumping out to a 15-4 lead in the first four minutes of the game.
- After Arcadia trimmed the lead to six by halftime, the Pride races out to a 12-2 run to begin the second half to take a 56-40 advantage with 15 minutes left.
- The Pride dominated the Knights in the paint, our scoring them, 46-30.
- Holden and Schenk were on fire from the field. Holden shot 75 percent (6-for-8) while Schenk shot 64 percent (7-for-11).

The Pride will hit the road Wednesday to take on Misericordia.. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
