LANCASTER, Pa. - The Widener University women's volleyball team picked up a win over Lancaster Bible and dropped a match against Grove City on Saturday at Lancaster Bible College.
The Pride swept Lancaster Bible, 25-18, 25-12, 25-20, but fell to Grove City, 25-12, 25-18, 25-18.
With the split, the Pride are 13-5 overall on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST LANCASTER BIBLE
- The Pride took advantage of Lancaster Bible's kill opportunities, as they scored off 23 errors in the match.
- Widener had 35 kills against the Chargers. Alnisha Saintilus led Widener with nine kills.
- Megan Barthol tallied a match-high 22 assists for the Blue and Gold with 18 assists.
- The Pride got great defensive production, as it had 47 digs in the match.. Madeline Dutterer led the Pride with 14 and Shelby Motz added 11 in the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST GROVE CITY
- The Pride tallied 25 kills in the defeat. Carly Venit led the team with six.
- Dutterer stood out for the Pride on defense, making a match-high 21 digs.
