Boxscore ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Widener University women's soccer team recorded its first draw of the season with a 1-1 decision on the road against Eastern. With one match remaining, the Pride is tied for fourth in the MAC Commonwealth standings with a 3-3-1 conference record.
HIGHLIGHTS
- First year forward Alyssa Carman picked up her 10th goal of the season, making her the only player in the MAC Commonwealth with double-digit goals this season. With the score, she also cracked the top-10 list for Widener in single season goals.
- First year Pride goalkeeper Nicole Rende made her first career start in net, logging three saves on the night.
- WU held a 17-6 shot advantage over the Eagles and put 11 of those attempts on goal. The Pride has out-shot its opponents by a combined margin of 238-137 this fall.
- The decision marks the Blue and Gold's first draw since November 2, 2019 when it tied Lebanon Valley by a tally of 1-1 in the regular season finale.
