CHESTER, Pa. – Senior Noah Saba scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick in the 79th minute as the Widener University men's soccer team secured its first conference win against Hood College on Sunday afternoon.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• First year Michael Donaghy turned in his second consecutive match with a goal, netting the Pride's second score late in the first half.
• Nick Brison also notched a goal – his fourth of the year. Brison is currently second on the team in points with 11.
• Saba's penalty kick goal marked his first of the season.
• Wildan Bondea and Stefano Turano each dished one assist a piece.
• Both sides combined for 39 shots with Widener holding a 31-8 advantage and putting 14 attempts on goal.
• Senior goalkeeper Vinnie Nocito came up with four saves in his fourth start of the season.
