CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University men's soccer team rounded out its non-conference schedule with a 2-0 win over Wilkes University on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Pride finishes 5-4 in non-conference play this season and moves to 5-6 overall.
GAME NOTES

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After getting off three shots in the first 13 minutes, Widener finally found the scoreboard in the 17th minute. Bondea lofted a pass down the field that the Colonels goalkeeper came out of the box to retrieve. The keeper misjudged a clear and Fatiga pounced on it to deliver an open net score.
- Wilkes made a strong effort to even up the score, but the Widener defense kept it at bay for most of the match. It got a late opportunity on net in the 77th minute, but a big save from Nocito kept the tally 1-0.
- The Pride put the match away with one more score in the 87th minute. Fatiga took another pass down field, beat his defender one-on-one, and rifled home a far post goal – his 12th of the season.
