WILKES Barre, Pa. – Playing less than 24 hours after its previous match, the Widener University men's volleyball team fell in both ends of a tri-match to Misericordia and Wilkes by identical 3-0 scores.
 
MATCH NOTES VS. MISERICORDIA (22-25, 23-25, 16-25)

• Cole Nagle led the Pride with nine kills in the opening contest. He also posted career-highs with 11 digs and two aces.
• Wil Cacciatore had six kills for Widener.
• Connor Johnson added six digs. Josh Matchett had 20 assists.
• Ian Devore recorded seven digs and five kills.
• After a close first set, Widener trailed 23-16 in the second before a 7-1 run pulled the frame to a single point before the Cougars finished the stanza.

 
MATCH NOTES VS. WILKES (22-25, 17-25, 31-33)

• Devore posted his first career double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs, hitting .192 for the match.
• Dylan Beer had four aces and two blocks in the contest.
• Matchett added 26 assists.
• The third set was a battle from start to finish. The Pride held the lead for the majority of the frame before Wilkes came back. In extras, WU fought off three consecutive match points before the Colonels were able to complete the match
