CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University men's swimming team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday, with a conference battle against the Arcadia Knights. Despite a strong effort from several performers, the Pride fell 147-115.
John Porter Luksic picked up the first win of the day for the Pride, claiming the 100 breaststroke in 1:0116.
In the 200 breaststroke, Luksic took his second victory of the day in 2:14.30 followed by
Owen Liberatore who has a second place time of 2:18.36.
Daniel Parker followed with a victory in the 200 fly, clocking in at 2:00.92. He later won the 100-yard event in a time of 54.84.
Closing the day, the group of
Chris Fleming,
Mark Lukens, Parker, and
Tim Dando won the 400 free relay, touching the wall in 3:27.96.
Prior to the meet, Widener honored
Martin Bohdan, Fleming, Brinn Hindermeyer, Liberatore, Luksic, and
Nick Masciandaro for their four years of service to the program.
The Pride wraps its regular season on Saturday, January 25 at Ramapo. The meet is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
