OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Widener University women's basketball team built a nine-point halftime lead, but a cold shooting second stanza saw the Pride fall to the Stevenson Mustangs 76-66 in a MAC Commonwealth game on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blue and Gold pounded the ball inside early on, scoring 24 of its 26 opening period points in the paint, building a 26-19 lead after 10 minutes. After a brief Mustangs rally, Widener closed the second well, scoring 10 of the final 15 points in the frame, taking a 42-33 lead into halftime.
Stevenson took advantage of second chance opportunities in the next 20 minutes, scoring 23 points off its own misses in the game, while outscoring the Pride 26-13 in the third and 17-11 in the fourth to claim the win.
