How it happened
Despite 11 total shots between both teams, solid defense and goalkeeping kept it scoreless heading into the intermission. Still struggling to generate scoring chances, the teams remained knotted until the 69th minute. Jefferies broke the drought after receiving a pass from Rudy then burying the ball past the Bulldog keeper.
Widener had just one shot in the 15 minutes following the first goal. The Pride made it count. In the 75th minute, Hurrell added some much needed insurance, essentially capturing the win for WU. A late penalty kick goal from DeSales cemented the final score.
