How it happened
Widener wasted little time, finding the back of the net on the first shot of the game three minutes into the match. The Pride attack was relentless in the first half, firing off 12 shots. The defense held the Mighty Macs to four shots before the intermission. WU went into the break with a one goal advantage.
The Blue and Gold kept its foot on the gas after the stoppage. Brison and Morgan connected for the second goal just before the 50-minute mark. Immaculata only got one shot off before the Pride added to its lead. Blouin accepted a ball from Evans and buried it past the Mighty Mac goalie in the 73rd minute. Shortly after, the match was called for severe lightening in the area.
