How it happened
After a scoreless first quarter, Wilkes broke through in the second, taking a 1-0 advantage in the 21st minute. The Pride responded seven minutes later. Perna caught the Colonel keeper out of position, capitalizing on the opportunity and evening the score at one.
After halftime, both defenses stood tall, resulting in a scoreless third quarter. It was not until 10 minutes remaining in regulation that Daniels provided the Pride's first lead of the contest. Two Colonel shots, one saved and one blocked, in the final minute made it interesting but WU held on for the victory.
