TACOMA, Wash. – The Widener University women's volleyball team concluded play at the Puget Sound Premiere on Saturday with a pair of matches, falling to Wheaton (Ill.) 3-0 and Rose-Hulman 3-1.
 
NOTES VS. WHEATON (9-25, 22-25, 20-25)

• Following a rough opening set, the Pride hit .279 in the final two frames, including .500 in the final set.
• Shelby Motz, Hollie Jones, and Emily Miller each posted five kills.
• Sydney Nichols chipped in with 12 assists.

 
NOTES VS. ROSE-HULMAN (21-25, 20-25, 25-18, 22-25)

• Competing against a team that advanced to last season's NCAA tournament, the Blue and Gold battled for a pair of hardfought sets before winning the third.
• Widener hit .400 in the third, set and did not commit an error, connecting for 10 kills in 25 attempts.
• Motz had 14 kills with Jones adding nine.
• Claire Kaufmann had a season-high five blocks.
• Liz Kwon led the way with 15 assists. Kayla Ewart added 10 digs.
