CHESTER, Pa. – Claire Kaufmann had 19 kills and hit .425 for the day as the Widener University women's volleyball team split a tri-match, beating Wilkes 3-0 in the afternoon match and falling 3-1 to Neumann in the opener on Saturday.
 
MATCH NOTES VS. NEUMANN (25-14, 16-25, 21-25, 16-25)

• Shelby Motz posted her third double-double of the season with 13 kills and a season-high 20 kills.
• Claire Kaufmann had 11 kills and zero errors in 24 swings, hitting .458.
• Ashley McAfee posted 20 digs. Sydney Nichols had 23 assists.
• Tied at 11-11 in the first set, Widener went on a 4-0 run, spurring a 14-3 sprint to end the set.
• The Pride hit .353 in the opening frame.

 
MATCH NOTES VS. WILKES (25-18, 25-19, 25-14)

• Kaufmann added eight kills and hit .375 for the match.
• Motz also had eight kills against the Colonels. Alnisha Saintilus added seven kills and connected at a .462 clip.
• Liz Kwon led the Pride with 16 assists. McAfee added 13 digs.
• The Blue and Gold hit .233 for the match, a season-high at home and the fourth best mark for WU this season.
