CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University men's swimming team got the 2019-20 season underway at home with a 202-60 setback against the Stevens Ducks in a Middle Atlantic Conference meet on Saturday.

A pair of Widener men's swimmers turned in second place, individual event finishes.
Martin Bohdan clocked in at 22.06 in the 50 free and 24.57 in the 50 fly.
John Porter Luksic placed second in the 50 breaststroke at 28.40.
Daniel Parker swam the 50 back in 26.57.

In the relays, the Pride was second in the 200 medley relay as the quartet of
Nick Masciandaro, Luksic,
Chris Fleming, and
Mark Lukens touched the wall in 1:41.63. The 200 free relay unit of Bohdan, Lukens,
Tim Dando, and
Daniel Parker finished in 1:30.41.

Widener returns to action on October 19 when it competes against Mary Washington, York, and Franklin & Marshall at the F&M Quad.
