WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Widener University men's soccer team opened up MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Lycoming Warriors 3-0.

How it happened
The Warriors jumped out to a 1-0 lead nearly eight minutes into the contest. The Pride created three shots in the first 45 minutes. Another Lycoming score just before the half created a two-goal deficit at the intermission.

The WU offense picked it up in the second, firing off two shots in the first two minutes. Solid defense kept the Pride out of the net. Peter O'Connor was the shot-leader on the afternoon.
