CHESTER, Pa. – Carly Venit and Claire Kaufmann each posted seven kills, but the Widener University women's volleyball team fell to Cabrini 3-0 on Thursday night.
 
MATCH NOTES (17-25, 20-25, 23-25)

• Both Venit and Kaufmann also hit for a high percentage, connecting at .294 and .375 respectively.
• Kaufmann added three blocks.
• Ashley McAfee had 14 digs.
• Liz Kwon and Sydney Nichols each recorded 14 assists.
• After a tight first two sets, Widener battled back in the third. Trailing 17-13, the Pride ripped off five straight, taking an 18-17 lead.
• Trailing 20-18, the Cavaliers stormed back to force match point.
• The Blue and Gold didn't waver, getting an ace from Nichols and a kill from Hollie Jones to get back to 24-23 before Cabrini finished the match.
