CHESTER, Pa. – Two second half goals lifted the Widener University men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over the Hood College Blazers on Saturday night.

How it happened
The Pride outshot the Blazers 6-3 in the first 45 minutes but could not finish the opportunities, due in part to solid goalkeeping. The teams were even at zero at the intermission.
Halftime adjustments paid off quickly.
Nick LeFevre provided the first goal of the game just over a minute into the second half. Keeping the pressure, WU generated two corners and three shots before finding the back of the net again.
Nick Brison played a ball for O'Connor on the right side of the field. O'Connor put a move on a Hood defender and curled a beauty to the far post, giving Widener the two goal edge in the 85th minute. The Blue and Gold carried its lead until the final whistle.
