Game Recap: Field Hockey |

@WidenerFHockey Falls to #13 Messiah

GRANTHAM, Pa. – Jackie Daniels scored her 10th goal of the year, but the Widener University field hockey team fell to the #13 Messiah College Falcons in a matchup featuring the squads with the highest win-totals in the Middle Atlantic Conference on Saturday afternoon.

How it happened
After two saves in the opening two minutes by Sabrina Roberto, Messiah broke through on its fourth shot of the contest, carrying a 1-0 lead into the second quarter. The Falcons struck for two more in the second and took a three goal edge into the intermission.

The Pride forced two penalty corners in the third quarter, capitalizing on the second. Lexie Eberly found Madi Radnoff. Radnoff played a ball for Daniels and the junior buried it in the back of the cage, cutting the deficit to two. One more goal from Messiah in the last quarter cemented the final score.
