CHESTER, Pa. – Wil Cacciatore had eight kills as the Widener University men's volleyball team opened its season with a 3-0 setback against the Elizabethtown Blue Jays on Wednesday evening.
 
BY THE NUMBERS

• In addition to leading the team in kills, Cacciatore also delivered six digs for the Pride.
• Matt Blaum led Widener with 11 digs in the contest.
• Newcomer Alex Arnow posted 17 assists.
• Matt Lambert provided a late spark with a pair of aces, each coming in the third set.

Widener is off until February 6 when it opens MAC play, hosting Arcadia. Opening serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
