CHESTER, Pa.  – The Widener University women's volleyball team continued its strong early season play, downing the Wesley Wolverines 3-0 on Tuesday night.

FIRST SET NOTES (25-20)
- Wesley got out to the quick start in the match, opening up a 7-3 lead.
- Widener stormed back, scoring 11 of the next 17 points to take its first advantage at 14-13.
- The Pride did not trail the rest of the frame as after ties at 14-14 and 15-15, WU went on a 10-5 run to close the set.
- Dorman had two kills, two aces, two digs, and a block in the set.

SECOND SET NOTES (25-21)
- Once again, the Wolverines opened the early lead going up 9-5.
- Undaunted, the Blue and Gold battled back, scoring four in a row and 10 of 11 to jump on top 15-10.
- Wesley posted a comeback of its own, using a 6-1 run to knot the score at 16-16.
- After the two teams traded points, the Pride closed the set on a 7-3 run.
- As a team, Widener hit .357 for the frame, led by six kills and a .455 hitting percentage from Dorman and four kills with a .444 percentage from Lee.

THIRD SET NOTES (25-13)
- The Blue and Gold wasted no time in taking a quick lead, using a 5-1 run to open the set.
- Widener methodically extended its lead, never leading by less than three the remainder of the way.
- Venit had her top set of the day with three kills. Including the match-clinching point to go along with a dig, an ace, and a block.
