CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University women's volleyball team had a strong day at home, sweeping a pair of matches at its own tri-match, downing Ursinus and King's by equal 3-0 counts.
 
NOTES VS. URSINUS (25-10, 25-12, 25-16)

• A balanced Widener attack saw Kelsey Lee lead the Pride with seven kills. Nicole Dorman had six and Shelby Motz had five.
• Sydney Nichols led the Blue and Gold with 15 assists.
• Ashley McAfee posted 14 digs and Motz had 12.
• Widener started each set strong, opening the first 10-1, the second 8-1, and the third 8-2.

 
NOTES VS. KING'S (25-22, 25-17, 25-22)

• Dorman led the Blue and Gold with 14 kills and hit .355 for the match.
• Lee posted 11 and hit .375.
• Nichols helped out with 26 assists. Ashley McAfee dug out 15 balls.
• As a team, Widener held the Monarchs to .069 hitting.
