CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University men's soccer team faced off against #17 Mary Washington on Saturday night. Despite a valiant effort, the Pride fell to the Eagles 1-0.
In the first half,
Logan Musselman fired off two shots. A Mary Washington goal in the 28th minute allowed the Eagles to carry a one goal advantage into halftime. The Pride attack picked up in the second half, creating five scoring chances. The defense held strong for the last 45 minutes.
John Warwick was a beast the entire night, notching eight saves.
The Pride return to Quick Stadium on Wednesday, September 26 to face Rosemont at 5:00 p.m.
