CHESTER, Pa. – Shea Morgan netted two goals, leading the Widener University men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Rosemont College on Wednesday night.

The Pride dominated possession throughout the match, breaking through quickly with a goal in the 9th minute. Widener was able to get off 13 shots in the first half, while the defense held Rosemont to only three. The Blue and Gold continued its ruthless attack in the second half, firing off 15 shots. A goal in the 72nd minute cemented the W.

First Half Summary

• Logan Musselman dribbled the ball down the right side of the field and sent a low cross to the other side of the box. Shea Morgan was positioned perfectly, receiving the pass and placing his shot low, beyond the reach of the Rosemont keeper. (9:54)

Second Half Summary

• Vinnie Nocito was between the pipes for the last half.
• The Pride marched down the pitch in the 72nd minute and a Rosemont foul granted Widener a free kick on the right side of the box, near the sideline. Noah Saba placed a beautiful ball in the air for Shea Morgan to head it home, advancing the lead to 2-0.
• The defense remained strong and led Widener to its fourth shutout win on the season.
