CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University field hockey team started conference play on Saturday afternoon, but fell to #2 Messiah 4-1.
Madi Radnoff got her second goal of the season at the 27:30 minute mark, capitalizing on a rebounded save. Her goal cut Messiah's lead to 2-1 at the break.
Sabrina Roberto made four spectacular saves in the first 35 minutes of play. The Pride keeper added two more saves in the second half.
