RADNOR, Pa.  – The Widener University men's soccer team won its second consecutive match of the season on Sunday afternoon, beating the Cabrini Cavaliers by a score of 2-0.

The Pride broke through with a goal in the 18th minute, while the defense did its job, only allowing four shots in the first half. The balanced attack continued into the second half, with Widener adding to its lead in the 61st minute. The two goal advantage was more than enough, as the Pride held the Cavaliers scoreless for the rest of the day.

This is the first time since 2013 that the Widener men's soccer team has started the season 2-0.

First Half Summary

• Nick Brison opened the scoring up at the 18:20 mark, making use of a Cabrini turnover. Nick LeFevre was on the assist.
• John Warwick held it down between the pipes, stopping the two shots on goal he faced.
• The Pride outshot the Cavs 5-4.

• The roles were reversed for the Pride's second goal, as Nick LeFevre received a through ball down the middle of the field from Nick Brison, putting it past the Cabrini keeper.
• Warwick and the defense remained solid in the shutout victory.
