CHESTER, Pa. – Sam Scoma scored two goals, helping the Widener University field hockey team capture its fourth victory of the season on Wednesday night, beating the Neumann Knights 4-0.

After a scoreless first 25 minutes, Widener broke through first and took a one goal lead into the break. During the second half, the Pride found the back of the cage three times while getting off 10 shots. The defense did a terrific job of limiting Neumann University's scoring chances all night.

First Half Summary

• After a scoreless first 25 minutes, Lexie Eberly picked up her first goal of the season off an assist from Gianna Perna.
• The Pride defense allowed zero shots in the first 35 minutes of play.

•  Quickly into the second half, Jordana Ambros beat the Neumann keeper, thanks to a Kelsi Walker assist.
• Sam Scoma added two insurance goals in the 57th and 64th minutes.
