SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Widener University field hockey team outshot Swarthmore 14-5, but fell short by a 2-0 final on Friday night.
Despite outshooting the Garnet 7-4 in the first half, Swarthmore tallied the only goal of the frame. The shot margin in the second half was 7-1 in favor of the Pride, however none of them were able to get past the home keeper who made seven saves in the match.
Jesse Schlosser had five shots for Widener, while
Jackie Daniels contributed three.
