WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Widener University men's basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the ECAC Division III Championship on Friday night.
 
Due to an unfortunate circumstance with the weather and road conditions, Widener's opponent, Baruch, was significantly delayed. After it was determined that the team would not be able to arrive at the Marts Center in any reasonable timeframe, the Bearcats were forced to forfeit the contest.
 
The Pride now advances to play the host Wilkes Colonels on Saturday, Mar. 3. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
