CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University men's swimming team closed the 2018 calendar portion of its schedule in fine fashion, downing the Misericordia Cougars 172-84 in a MAC meet on Saturday afternoon.

Daniel Parker won a pair of individual events. He first took the top spot in the 200 fly with a 2:03.11 before closing his individual meet with a 2:04.24 in the 200 IM. Parker was also a part of the winning 200 free relay team, joined by
Tim Dando,
Paolo Cortez, and
Aaron Green to touch the wall in 1:30.86.

Green finished first in the 50 free with his time of 22.03. He also won the 100 fly in 52.13.

Sam Smith won the 1,000 free in a time of 10:43.72.
Martin Bohdan claimed the top spot in the 200 free with his time of 1:47.86.
John Porter Luksic continued his strong season in the 100 breaststroke, winning the event in 1:01.39.

Dando and
Nick Masciandaro each won an event. Dando was victorious in the 100 free at 50.90 and Masciandaro won the 200 back in 2:05.06.

Widener returns to action on Saturday, January 12, 2019 when it travels to Cabrini.
