@WidenerFHockey Blanks Del Val in Non-Conference Finale

CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University field hockey team scored three goals in a 14 minute stretch as the Pride wrapped its non-conference schedule with a 4-0 win against Delaware Valley on Tuesday night.
 
FIRST HALF NOTES
  • After knocking on the door through the first 18 minutes and generating three penalty corners, the Pride broke through at the 18:48 mark of the frame as Jackie Daniels netted her first of the season on a cross from the right side off the stick of Erin Callahan.
  • The tally opened the scoring for the pride who struck again in at 26:33 as Lexie Eberly posted her second goal of the season, coming with a shot from the right side.
  • Widener found the back of the cage one more time in the frame as Madi Radnoff scored off a rebound.
  • The Blue and Gold had 11 corners in the opening 35 minutes and took 11 shots, eight of which went on goal.
 
SECOND HALF NOTES
  • The Pride got its final goal of the contest as Kelly Ramsdale redirected a shot from Jesse Schlosser into the back of the net.
  • WU held a 6-1 shot advantage in the frame.
 
UP NEXT
The Pride returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Hood for Homecoming and Senior Day. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
