READING, Pa. – The Widener University field hockey team beat Albright College 2-1 in double overtime on Wednesday night, finishing the regular season on a high note.

A Lions goal in the 22nd minute gave Albright a 1-0 lead, which it took into the half. Thirteen minutes into the second half, Widener evened the score. Zero goals the rest of the way forced overtime. In the 87th minute, the Pride found the back of the cage, ending the match in dramatic fashion.

• Sam Scoma scored her eighth goal of the year, thanks to an assist from the senior Kelly Ramsdale.
• Lexie Eberly received a pass from Jesse Schlosser at the top of the circle and scored the game winning goal at the 86:48 minute mark.
