LANCASTER, Pa. – The Widener University men's swimming team competed in its first multi-team meet of the season, taking part in the Franklin & Marshall Quad with the University of Mary Washington and York (Pa.) on Saturday.

Aaron Green led the way for the Pride, winning both the 50 and 100 free in times of 20.99 and 46.42 respectively. His time in the 50 was less than 0.4 seconds from an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Green also helped WU to a third place finish in the 200 free relay where he teamed with
Martin Bohdan,
Paolo Cortez, and
John Porter Luksic to finish in 1:28.51.

Cortez, Green, and Bohdan were joined by
Daniel Parker in the 200 medley relay, placing fourth overall with a time of 1:40.74.

Bohdan also had a strong individual meet, coming in third in the 200 free at 1:48.30 and sixth in the 500 free with a time of 5:10.78. Parker finished fourth in the 200 fly at 2:03.04 before a sixth place time in the 200 IM of 2:07.91.

Sam Smith contributed for the Blue and Gold with a fifth place ranking in the 1,000 free, clocking in at 11:04.56.

Widener returns to action on Saturday, October 27 when it hosts Albright at 1:00 p.m.
