CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University field hockey team outshot the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen 16-10 on Saturday afternoon, but dropped the conference battle 2-1.
The Dutchmen took an early lead in the 11th minute, but the Pride evened the match at one in the 19th minute, thanks a penalty stroke goal by
Madi Radnoff, her eighth of the year.
Jesse Schlosser fired off six shots, while
Jackie Daniels and
Gianna Perna each had a shot on goal. Stellar play from the LVC keeper kept Widener out of the net in the second half.
Up next, WU travels to Albright on Wednesday, October 24 for the final contest of the regular season. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
