CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University men's swimming team got back into action on Sunday, downing the Cabrini Cavaliers 159-44.
Martin Bohdan led the Pride with a pair of event wins and was also part of two relay victories. He first claimed the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.22 before winning the 100-yard event with a 50.38 clocking. Bohdan was joined by
Kenneth Edwards,
Paolo Cortez, and
Aaron Green to win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:43.67. In the 400 free relay, Bohdan teamed up with Cortez,
Tim Dando, and Green to touch the wall in 3:27.96.
Green contributed to the Widener win with a victory in the 50 free, clocking in at 22.36. Dando claimed an event victory in the 500 free with a time of 5:04.77.
Sam Smith,
Chris Fleming,
Nick Masciandaro, and
Porter Luksic all won an event for Widener. Smith took first in the 1,000 free with his 10:49.54 clocking while Fleming won the 200 fly in 2:06.61. Masciandaro was victorious in the 200 back with a time of 2:07.31 and Luksic won the 200 breaststroke, touching the wall in 2:17.14.
The Pride returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 20 for its Senior Day meet, hosting Arcadia at 1:00 p.m.
