CHESTER, Pa. – Jordana Ambros and Kayla Herr each registered one goal to help propel the Widener University field hockey team to a 2-1 MAC Commonwealth victory over Albright College on Saturday afternoon.

KEY PLAYERS

• Ambros and Herr each had one goal.
• Lexie Eberly was credited with one assist.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Widener took the lead early as Ambros stepped up and put Widener's fourth consecutive shot in the back of the net after retrieving a deflection off of the Albright keeper.
• Ahead 1-0, Herr was able to double the Pride's lead by striking a reverse hit past the keeper. Eberly was credited with the assist through the circle.
• Albright was able to cut the deficit in half in the 54th minute with a goal from Kasey Neiderer, however, it was not enough to defeat the Pride as they walked away with the 2-1 victory.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Widener out shot Albright 8-1 in the first half and 11-4 overall.
