CHESTER, Pa. –
Nikki Mowry and
Jill Bujanowski each won a pair of events as the Widener University women's swimming team split a double dual meet with the Messiah Falcons and the Hood Blazers at the Schwartz Center pool on Saturday. The Pride defeated Hood 207-40 and fell to Messiah 138-123.
Mowry won both the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyles with times of 5:28.15 and 11:05.20 respectively.
Jill Bujanowski also won two events, claiming the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.78 before winning the 200 IM in a time of 2:16.22.
Sammy Grogan won the 200 breaststroke with a 2:36.12 clocking while finishing second in the 100-yard event with a time of 1:12.78.
Christine Kunzler had a pair of second place finishes, touching the wall in the 50 and 100 free with 25.12 and 55.10 clockings.
Widener returns to action at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational Nov. 17-19.Â
