READING. Pa. - The Widener University women's soccer team made a goal midway through the first half stand up as the Pride picked up a critical MAC Commonwealth victory against The Albright Lions by a 1 - 0 final on Tuesday night.


Scoreless into the 26th minute, Widener tallied the only marker of the game as Lexi Slusher sent a ball up the right side that was redirected home by Alyssa Dionisio. 

Also coming up big for the Blue and Gold was Sam Thach who posted five saves in recording her fourth clean sheet of the season. 

Widener returns to action for Senior Day on Saturday Oct. 28 when it hosts Lebanon Valley on Hirschmann Field at Quick Stadium. Match time is scheduled for 2:30 PM.
