GRANTHAM, Pa. -
Sabrina Roberto registered five saves but it was not enough as the Widener University field hockey team fell to #1 Messiah, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at Anderson Field.
The Falcons took the lead early in the game, scoring in the eighth minute. Widener's defense stayed strong, however, the Falcons managed to find three more opportunities to close out the half with a 4-0 lead.
Widener did not let down and came out with confidence as they did not allow Messiah to register any goals in the second half.
