CHESTER, Pa. – Claire Kaufmann had eight kills and two blocks, but the Widener University women's volleyball team was upended 3-0 in a tough MAC Commonwealth match to the Messiah Falcons on Tuesday night,
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Kaufmann also led the Pride in hitting at .217 and shared the team lead in kills with Nicole Dorman.
• Natalie Winn made her presence felt with six kills and five blocks in the match.
• Ashley McAfee led the Blue and Gold with 13 digs while Sydney Nichols and Liz Kwon each had 11 assists.
• The first set saw Widener fall behind 14-7 only to battle back to 23-21 with Winn delivering three kills in the comeback before the Falcons scored the final two points to win the set.
• In the second, the Pride went up 4-1 before a 13-6 Messiah run put the Falcons on top 14-10. Undeterred, the Blue and Gold ripped off six points in a row, two of them on aces by Kwon.
